Paula C. Davis, LCSW-BACS, is the Clinical Director for the Maternity, Adoption, and Behavioral Health Department of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Baton Rouge. Paula has more than 16 years of domestic and international adoption experience working with all members of the triad. She also provides counseling and support for families post-adoption including working with triad members who are initiating a search. In 2008, she completed the Hunter College Post-Graduate Certificate Program in Adoption Competence. She has presented at many state and local conferences on Clinical Issues in Adoption and Preparation of Adoptive Families. Paula received an MSW from Louisiana State University and has been an adjunct instructor at LSU School of Social Work since 2000. She was named Adjunct Instructor of the Year in 2008 and 2012. Paula serves on the I-Care Advisory Board and the Home Instruction for the Parents of Preschool Youngsters State Advisory Group. She also serves on the Louisiana Law Institute’s Children’s Code Committee and assisted in drafting current legislation for international adoption.
